Today I was in contact with Troy Thacker at Too Intense about how well his advertising dollars that are helping to support the site and the club are working out for his business. He stated with all the traffic he receives he has been unable to directly attribute his advertisement to orders at his business. We discussed a possible change to the site in order that he might be able to directly relate our site to his orders.

In the past, we always had our member number under our Username on our posts on the site. Mike is going to re-install this feature in the very near future so that you as members can take a note of it and use it when you are in contact with one of our advertisers. Any time you place an order with one of our advertisers, be sure to mention your member number in our club.

Troy offered to give you as customers of his business a club discount when you mention your member number. He did not give me a specific discount rate, but any discount is better than none in my opinion. You will be helping the site, as well as receiving a small discount by using our advertisers business, it is a win-win situation for all of us, so please, use it to your and our advantage.

While I'm on the subject, I have been in contact with a couple other Z related businesses about advertising, and there has been some interest. With this feature and your using it, not only can our current advertisers have a way of tracking their new customers, but any future advertisers will be able to do the same.

Even if you do business with a supplier who is not currently one of our advertisers, just mention the club and your member number, as it might just be a business we have been in contact with and they will see the benefits of advertising with us. Let these businesses know who you are and how many of us use this site, it may help out in the future.

I know a lot of you are unable to donate money directly to the club, and I for one can sympathize with that as I am currently un-employed and cannot help out like I have in the past. By using your member number, especially with one of our advertisers, you can and will be helping the site as much as if you donated to the site directly by helping us keep our current advertisers. One side benefit of this will be that in the end, you will be receiving a small discount on your parts or services if the advertising business so chooses.

If any of you have a businesses you think might be interested, no matter how big or small, please let Mike or myself know and we can send them the information to our advertising information. If it is someone we have already contacted, perhaps a follow up will work in our favor.

I always mention my IZCC and CZC member numbers when ordering parts. Also, they are listed on my "signature" that goes on all outrgoing email.

I don't know how I ended up with CZC #791, when I first registered on this site in 03/00, my member number was Sixty-something ( 62, I think) ?????? I know there weren't 790 members back then!

Excellent work on this. I managed to add two places for membership numbers. They are:

1) Each member number is located in the forum areas. It will be listed next to the name of a person when they post a message.

2) Your own specific member number is available if you click the "User CP" (user control panel) from anywhere on the site. The membership number should be listed on the main page of the control panel.

Let me know if this works for all of you guys/gals. I tested it, but, sometimes I miss things.

Per an e-mail from Troy this morning, you will recieve a 10% discount, but remember, you have to use your CZCC member number to get it.

I know 10% may not seem like much, but it is better than not getting a discount at all.

Yes, for the time being the discount only applies to Too Intense Restorations.

I'm working with one or two more potential sponsors for the site. I am not going to push the advertisers for a club discount, however, if they get the numbers of orders that will make it worth their advertising dollars, there is always the possibility of more discounts in the future.

For right now, I am trying to make sure the advertisers we currently have will continue to do business with us, and help us support our club site.

Troy is at Too Intense Restorations.

At the present time Motorsport Auto is not yet an advertiser of our site, but I think they might give club discounts, at least they used to in the past.

Stay tuned...... we may have an anouncement forthcoming on another advertiser coming on board with us... And, no, for now I will not say who they might be...

I was in MSA today buying some poly bushings and spindle pins, etc and I was given a 10 percent discount by being a member of Group Z here in S. Calif. I'm not sure they woudl give this club a discount but they might. Mike, you might want to email them and maybe they'll advertise, reaching at least 3,000 members!!!

Anyways, for what its worth, many of the bushings were on sale, but you can't get the 10 percent off AND the sale price, according my salesman. But the salesman gave me 10 percent off my ENTIRE order instead of the sale prices and that saved me about 15 bucks!
