January 4, 20169 yr comment_483979 When your desiccant gets saturated throw them in the oven on a cookie sheet on low for a couple of hours to dry them out Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50908-1976-280z-restoration-project/?&page=43#findComment-483979 Share on other sites
January 4, 20169 yr Author comment_483985 Yup. They are expensive! I have two boxes of pellets. That way I can swap them out as needed while a set is drying. So far so good and the manufacturer says 6 months is normal usage. January 4, 20169 yr comment_484011 I would be surprised if you got six months with the amount of air you're using right now but you might... January 5, 20169 yr Author comment_484012 I doubt it too. I will change it out soon. Got a lot done today. Only snapped a quick picture. The grit is getting smaller as I recycle it. I will need a new bag soon. Too much fine grit and it's taking longer now. January 5, 20169 yr Author comment_484069 Tip of the Week: Replace the grit in your media blasting bucket after approx 10 filter/recycles max.... After about 25 filter/recycles, I am now working in a black cloud of grit dust that is obscuring all vision and blasting efficiency has been reduced to 20-30% at best.... I will be picking up new grit tomorrow!
