August 16, 20177 yr Author comment_528058 Hopefully! I still want to cover as much of the interior cabin as possible along with the roof and doors. I'm hoping it helps keep the heat out as well. August 16, 20177 yr comment_528089 Have you tried the very subjective "rap on it" test to see if it rings. I did some of that before the Lizard Skin then after. It was noticeably different Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50908-1976-280z-restoration-project/?&page=127#findComment-528089 Share on other sites
August 16, 20177 yr comment_528096 Looks like your own little Mercury capsule, If you have enough sound mat it is good to cover all the metal behind the dash, the hollow bulkhead on the other side where the wiper motor and linkage is can be echo-y. It was noticeably differentThe conductive sound check has shown to be a good solid thunk versus any ringing or resonance. The transmissive noise is yet to be determined but I still have the isolation foam and rubber to go in as well. Yes, I plan on rotating the car on the rack and getting as much coverage as possible. I still have a quarter of the 50' roll left plus two more full rolls. It definitely looks space age in there right now!
