Mounted the freshly powder coated fuel pump bracket.

The rubber covered wire wraps did not fair well in the oven but I will strip them and recoat them in plastidip before I'm done.

Won't the welding burn the plastic of the coating?

The powder coat is cured at 450 degrees. The welding will be done with wet rags around the spindles and anti splatter spray on the exposed parts. Shouldn't be an issue.

Got the rear hub assemblies powdercoated as well as the RT diff mount. No pics tonight sorry. Will get some good shots of the welding when I get that done though!

Welding day yesterday...

First we MIG'd the struts with a tack to get the right offset from the collars. I wanted a good clean bite for the stick welds.
Then a solid bead around the collars.

Next step, clean up the welds and paint the exposed metal.
