The posts look fine on my home computer. I use Tapatalk almost exclusively for the forum these days. January 9, 20187 yr comment_539248 That's why I'm still using a desktop. Only issue is when I travel. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50908-1976-280z-restoration-project/?&page=151#findComment-539248 Share on other sites
January 9, 20187 yr Author comment_539257 So Techno Toy Tuning express shipped out the custom spacers to fit their hubs on 280Z’s! Very cool.    I will need to get longer bolts though. I’m 10mm short on grip here. Not good enough!   Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50908-1976-280z-restoration-project/?&page=151#findComment-539257 Share on other sites

January 12, 20187 yr Author comment_539535 Spent some time working on the steering rack tonight. Sandblasted the exterior and cut off the seized tie rod ends. Next up is disassembly and internal cleaning followed by powder coating and refurbishing. Red, chrome or black? Hmmmmm..... January 12, 20187 yr comment_539550 Â I vote for black. I like the red bits that you have but too much would make it look like a Circus Wagon. January 12, 20187 yr Author comment_539551 The outer tie rods are already anodized red, the crossmember is already black... maybe a chrome powder coat with the black boots going into the red outers? The bushings are red too so a red rack is out. January 12, 20187 yr comment_539564 +1 on the Black.  Just a little bit of Red goes a long way visually as well as any chrome(ish) parts against a Green background.  And don't forget whatever color your block is going to be.  That's where most of the attention is going to be. Just my two cents only,  your opinion counts the most since you will be the one showing it. January 12, 20187 yr Author comment_539566 The block will be black. That’s part of the issue. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50908-1976-280z-restoration-project/?&page=151#findComment-539566 Share on other sites
