So the nearly 12” of snow today has cancelled my plans to strip the doors outside.

i decided to rebuild my sand blasting cabinet instead!

Bought new plexiglas and glass to replace the etched old stuff.  Cut out a hole to place the led light in a better spot for more even illumination. Turned out pretty good!

First I pulled out the old glass and plexi

then I marked a hole for the light

I then screwed the plexi down along with some sealant to seal it.

and then replaced the glass and plexi lid. So much brighter!

Another side project... I managed to get the rear hatch opening mech drilled in preparation for the remote trunk release mod. This is hardened steel and is much harder to drill than you would think. I broke several bits and even my cobalt bits wouldn’t touch it till I heated it up to remove the hardening.
Now I will countersink it a bit for the pull wire to sit in. More to come later!

Some small progress to report. I have completed the porting of the EFI intake manifold and runners and will move on to the drilling and tapping of the E88 cylinder head. A little nerve wracking but I have confidence my lack of skill and experience coupled with bold determination will shield me (and my cyl. head) from any harm....

New shiny parts are on their way too... more to report soon!

Has it been pinned?  I haven't followed all of the details.  Lots of slop in the factory mounting system.

Do you have a borescope?  It would be cool to see the path of the runners in to the head.  Probably help alignment also.

I will double and triple check during the drilling procedure and ensure they line up properly.

The borescope idea is cool, though I am not expecting 100% perfection....more like 97%...!

Silvermine delivered the power steering system today. Prices have gone up but Edan squeaked me in under the wire for last years price. Still with shipping and taxes/duty it was over $1500 Cdn! Ouch. Hope it’s all I expect it to be...
