Maybe there was something wrong with my doors, there was a lot wrong with that car.  Anyway glad it's working out for you, looking really good.

My doors were off a bit as well, but a bit of gentle persuasion sorted them out. Maybe your fender was damaged in shipping or something? There is a huge amount of flex in them and maybe it was improperly handled or stored at the dealer.

Some more of the car pretty much assembled. Just the lower valance and nacelles not attached. 
 

 

This factory restamp is a great panel.  Much better fit than the Taiwan repro. 
 

 

I picked up a right and a left factory restamps 8 years ago during the restoration and they needed a bit of adjustment but fit great

Still working on the bodywork/blocking/sanding. Some cool new parts/surprises coming soon! The last of the exterior parts was ordered yesterday! On to the interior parts mayhem...

Love it or hate it... I don't care! I have wanted to do this to my hood since the first day I started this restoration! The Rising Sun image has a faded linen background which is perfect for the colour scheme of my car. The "dirty linen" background should also hide any dirt or engine grime pretty good too.

I purchased the rights to the image last fall and finally got the image printed and installed last week. Looking forward to having this popped open over the engine bay at car shows!

Cool! Should have known Hoover would have found a similar image! I have never seen one done inside the hood before that.
