April 15, 20204 yr Author Popular Post comment_597156 So, I have decided matte. Gloss is nice but the period look is cool. This is before I sprayed the surrounds matte. The centre panel is matte. April 15, 20204 yr Author comment_597157 I had a bit of a disappointing day. Tried bleeding the wilwoods today and couldn’t get more than a dribble and bubbles from the rears. No leaks, bled the 7/8” master cylinder first, opened the proportional valve 100% and kept the reservoir’s full. The fronts bled no problem. I have a speed bleeder that uses compressed air to pull the fluid through the lines. I pulled the lines off at various points and pushed compressed air through and no blockages. The reaction disc seems to be fine. I adjusted the stroke length of the rod to the pedal to ensure full pressure to the rear reservoir (front bowl) and still just a dribble. Hmmmmmm. Is it just the lighting or are they darker than the earlier pics with the gloss LH/matte center? Either way, they will look great based on the last pic! What are you doing with the chrome? Is yours good or do you have to find/recreate the chrome? April 15, 20204 yr Author comment_597193 They are the same but the lighting is better in the last pic. I am painting a “chrome” paint onto the old bezels. They are too far gone to use as is. One day I would like real chrome ones again. It sounds like chrome wrap might be the best way to go. April 15, 20204 yr Author comment_597214 Thanks to professor Datsun (zKars ), I was able to get my brake lines fixed and brakes bled. I had a small air leak in a short line. April 15, 20204 yr Author comment_597215 Dot 5 synthetic for the win! No paint damage from the three gallons of fluid I spilled! April 15, 20204 yr comment_597216 I would not use DOT 5 fluid. Yes, it doesn't eat your paint, but is otherwise crap. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50908-1976-280z-restoration-project/?&page=262#findComment-597216 Share on other sites
