After repairs were made, I sanded the joints and sprayed a texture spray over the repaired panels. The results are good. I lost the original texture but that is minor compared to the condition they were in.  What do you think?

I really respect the effort that goes into parts restorations like this.  Lots of effort.  Lots of ingenuity.  It's a completely different ethos than the 'buy new' community.  Great result and you educated me about a new wonder-chemical: Dominion's 'SureTex Flexible Texture Material'.

p.s. I'll bet our American members don't get the 'Dominion' part LOL

Agreed @Namerow!  But I have to admit that my first thought was "what the hell is Flexible Texture Material?  Cheese Whiz?"

I think I have a plan for the door wires now. The lower area beneath the lower hing on the body side facing out. Then a hole under the door hinge on the door. That way there is no compression of the wires when the door closes.

So every now and then we have a wart show...

My attempt to paint the car with the doors on and the jambs already painted ended up with unacceptable overspray, even with the masking and joint filler. Today I masked off the car and removed the doors to paint the jambs all over again. Yay me....

I did drill them. Just 1/4” guide holes until I can find the right grommets. I will mask and tape the hole to resize it.

It’s just door locks and power window wires. I am ordering the kick panel speaker covers so the speakers stay out of the doors.
