Well, today was a milestone.
I was able to get a solid baseline tune on the stroker. The new version 2.0 of the OneSix CAS solved my voltage issues and some adjustments of the IAC got the engine idling like a coffee can fill of rocks! But that’s normal for a stroker with a monster cam I guess.
The hard revving engine sounds like a fighter plane at hi revs. So very happy and thankful for all the hard work by Richard Boyk getting the tune smoothed out.

I have total garage envy! That garage, if sold as a bungalow where I live would be worth $1.3m !!!

I have to park my car to within 3 inches of the garage wall on the left to be able to get out of it on the right! ;)

Another day, another lesson learned. Had the dash apart trying to figure out the lack of rpm signal. Turns out I’m just trying to send a digital signal to an analog gauge.
Ordered a signal transformer that converts the nice square 5v signal from Haltech into a psychotic voltage spike like the coils used to send to the tach.
Then tested my temp gauge and discovered I have a dead sensor in the thermostat. Gauge is good. Buttoned up the dash for the 562nd time. Life is good.

Well, the Xmas break has been productive, but in ways other than benefitting the 280...

I started the makeover of the front garage this fall and had all the front doors replaced and all of the doors lifted to their highest point of 12 feet. This puts them inches from the ceiling. Of course that meant that all the old scaffolding and supports had to be removed and all the holes filled etc. I started filling and painting around 8 Dec, and have just finished as of today getting all the ceiling and walls painted. The hard part was that the Z was still in the garage and there is a lot of snow and cold weather outside preventing me from emptying the garage properly. So there was a lot of shuffling around. I also added LED slow profile shop lights which have the energy of 1000 angry suns....  That plus the bluetooth lights from the LiftMaster 8500W shaft drives creates an ambiance somewhat akin to the inside of a nuclear reactor...

As it was with the low rise doors and hangers everywhere...

And now after ceiling and wall paint complete...

I added a cool feature too. The walls are very close to the cars parked inside due to the single doors. I installed a length of Dock Bumper to act as a door ding guard on the wall next to the wife's car. Works great!

I also built a custom remote panel for the openers to hide the wiring and to mount the thermostat for the heated floors.

Now I have to save my pennies a few months to be able to afford the Poly Aspartic floor coating that is next. I have already ordered some custom cabinets for the entry way and a ton of storage cabinets for the rest of the garage to hide all the clutter. This will look awesome when I'm done and (hopefully) have a four post lift installed in the middle section for the Z's!

The flush mounting partially hidden from sight under the rear bumper is exactly what I had in mind. The SWM stereo is superb as well, with a somehow retro vibes.

I put the Liftmaster 8500W in my new garage. They’re great. I love the motion sensor on the wall mount openers that turns on the overhead lights when you walk by them and the garage locking mechanism.
I had my floor professionally coated. It was a 4 day process. I had done the DYI floor on my last house (rust oleum) from Lowe’s, had failure spots within a year. This is 10x better. Guy gave me a 25 yr warranty. Cost me $4.25 a sqft. Everyone compliments it.
