April 18, 20177 yr Author comment_518396 The reason for the fibreglas filler is that I wanted to ensure all weld points were sealed and waterproofed. After that, some welds were brutally done along with shoddy repairs to the quarter panel. I did not want to cut a new panel in so I am patching with fibreglas. The new products may be better than I remember, but I will do all the finish work with either a hi build spray filler or professional bondo. April 19, 20177 yr Author comment_518469 So I am happy with the final rough work on this quarter panel. Curve is close and the line is accurate. Leave the rest to final blocking and sanding! April 19, 20177 yr comment_518497 That looks really good. I'm assuming you have some good long blocks for that line. At this point you should put on a guide coat and see how things are coming. It's hard to pick up detail with all the fill lines and general blotchiness. April 19, 20177 yr Author comment_518507 The line is still there, it's just muted with the primer. I will redefine it in the hi build. April 19, 20177 yr Author comment_518535 Let me clarify.... about $10,000 in parts and another $10,000 in exchange and shipping. By the time I ship everything I need from the states it will be almost double! And the motor will only be refreshed, not built as I am sticking to stock power for now. Waiting for a better ecu solution before I ramp up the power.
