May 10, 20177 yr Author comment_520556 This at least shows the thin skin coat used to fill the pinholes and provide a nice smooth finish to the fibreglas filled areas. This is before sanding of course. May 11, 20177 yr comment_520656 I used the mirror half of a makeup container I broke off slid under my shoes laces. Mini skirts were popular in the 80s when I was in school but so were panties. May 11, 20177 yr Author comment_520661 I am considering having a wheel lug stand made so I can pull a wheel off at car shows to show off the brakes and suspension goodies. Might be enough to show off the underside a little. May 11, 20177 yr comment_520683 Or a trick motor driven rotisserie that would slowly barrel roll the car. In all reality tho, I do love your attention to detail. Changing a sows ear into a silk purse comes to mind. May 11, 20177 yr Author comment_520704 Thank you. It can be a curse tho. Sometimes it feels as though I obsess over small details to avoid tackling the next challenge. I am nervous about spraying the base and clear coats, so maybe that's why it's taking me so long to finish the small detail work. Hmmmm. May 11, 20177 yr comment_520707 Mark, You're going to need therapy when this car gets its first scratch. So much detail, I think I would have lost interest in sanding a long time before starting on the rails. May 11, 20177 yr Author comment_520708 Thanks guys! Working on this car IS my therapy! If I could only get the army to pay for a "companion car" instead of a service dog.... I think my mental health would drastically improve Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50908-1976-280z-restoration-project/?&page=108#findComment-520708 Share on other sites

May 31, 20177 yr Author comment_522062 Mostly boring work and little to show. Detail work on the inner fenders and engine bay. Sanding down the DTM 2K and prepping for seam sealer and primer sealant. And a couple of quarter shots for reference later.
