My issue is that the shocks have just enough throw to open the hood 98% while still being able to fully close the hood. Moving the pivot points closer would not allow the hood to close due to the shocks being fully compressed and hindering full closure.


So after a long morning of sandblasting and welding, the hinge mod is installed. I need to pencil grind the welds in the chassis and clean that up for paint etc, but overall I am very happy!

A little work on the intake porting today...

The porting is actually right on. The slight bright ring in the “down the throat” shot is reflection off the bevel into the intake.

 Looks good!  That's the TB right?  Will you do the same for the N42 intake?

I ported the unwebbed N42 intake. The TWM throttle body is a 60mm throat already. Next up will be port matching the E88 head. Need a new intake exhaust gasket for that.
