I'm not going to rush and blame the manufacturer here. I am thinking it had to do with the Martian temperatures we have been enduring for the last month. -40 ~ -30 is not going to be helpful when the package gets dropped... If the package was cold and dropped, the packing wouldn't have helped gravity's effect on the blower fan that is suspended by the plastic housing. It would have torn free like the picture shows. That's my thought anyway.

They should use a different sticker. No empty spaces would be better to me. But i bet his happened during shipping. Did you find the broken peices Mark?

All the pieces were inside the evaporator housing. No where for them to go other than the fan box or there really...

I suggested that it was a "feature". You know... Pull in some recirculated air to do a better job removing the humidity? Or something?

I ordered it with the traditional controls to see if I could make them work. I may end up with the modern dial type as they are slimmer. Will have to see if this can be made to work.

I talked to the owner of the company a few months ago and he seemed very pleasant.

They are working on a solution. It was from an eBay vendor. Local suppliers in Canada are rare and expensive.
