October 26, 20195 yr Author comment_586440 So after confirming dementia is beginning, I realized I was putting the new fender seal on the wrong lip of the inner fender. Here it is installed on the right ridge with the old style rubber strip laying beside it. The new bulb style seal is great! October 28, 20195 yr Author comment_586530 so some boring filler and sanding tonight. This will be the norm for a while as I prep the panels for paint. The fenders were already done so that leaves the doors, scoops, inspection lids, cowls, balance and hood/hatch to finish. Sounds like a lot... What did you use for those seals? looks like 2 types. So this last pic shows that you need them on both the long lip and the "raised sections"? So this last pic shows that you need them on both the long lip and the "raised sections"? The "pads" are still required to hold the fenders to the correct height and prevent vibrations. The seal should stop most debris from going from fender well to engine bay. The old flat seal was junk and the new bulb style fit perfect. I used an eBay seal that came in a 3 meter length and did both sides and the front hood to rad support seal as well. About an inch left over... Inner Fender Seal Edited October 29, 20195 yr by wheee! November 4, 20195 yr Author comment_586883 Found a local source for a used splash pan and a good set of seats. This makes three sets of seats now... but at least one good set of foam! I also have a new set of vinyl covers I can use too.
