1976 280Z Restoration Project

So I made a boo boo with the bulldog end I fabricated on the passenger side. It was a good shape and proper size, I just welded it on to the existing metal a little too low (towards the street) and the fender did not mount flush. I had to cut out about 3/8" of metal from the middle of the piece and reweld it together. It turned out great so I am happy but disappointed I didn't catch it before I welded it in before...

You can see how the "bump" is higher than the rocker panel. They should be the same with an indent in the middle of the bulldog.

The pictures in the previous posts show it rewelded in properly.

This enlarged area is where the change was made. Note the red line is now in line with the rocker profile. I will get a better picture tonight.

The second picture shows the blue line where I cut across the bulldog and removed about 3/8' of metal and then rejoined the two together.
