siteunseen Posted July 11, 2015 Author Share #145 Posted July 11, 2015 (edited) Well I think either of them look fine. However, that won't stop me from poking fun at your goofy looking wrong color engine at ZCON anyway. I'm laughing my arse off! We're gonna have fun! Captain Obvious Posted July 11, 2015 Share #146 Posted July 11, 2015 Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. You're going to have your car in the show(s), right?
siteunseen Posted July 11, 2015 Author Share #147 Posted July 11, 2015 Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. You're going to have your car in the show(s), right? If they have a class for Camrys. Half of my motor is in my guest bedroom along with the exhaust and the hood.

siteunseen Posted July 11, 2015 Author Share #150 Posted July 11, 2015 Removed the steering rack for paint and new boots today. Realized I can't move it outside to wash down the engine bay and paint what I can get to so I made temporary steering rack.

siteunseen Posted July 12, 2015 Author Share #153 Posted July 12, 2015 I'm going to stain it and put poly over that! Just teasing, but it does work. The 240 saw daylight for the first time since March.
siteunseen Posted July 26, 2015 Author Share #154 Posted July 26, 2015 Well Pontiac Blue it'll be, I'm not painting it again; people will think I'm nuts. Old Ford Blue, 1st color, too blue for me. Pontiac Blue, much better, in my opinion and Jarvo's. Thanks again Jarvo! Also stripped and primed my steering rack.

siteunseen Posted July 26, 2015 Author Share #156 Posted July 26, 2015 (edited) More "kinda" good news. I'll be running an E88 until I get the E31 with the cam kits centers to hit the middle. I've decided to do it myself so get ready Rossi, Madkaw and who ever else will help. I've got an early '72 E88 stamped perfect. The one off a '73 is not so perfectly stamped but is much nicer and has a smaller combustion chamber, smaller means SHALLOWER. It's been shaved I believe, it has those temp buttons from Birmingham Cylinder Head stuck on there. So I'll run it until I get the E31 put together. EDIT!!! I have no idea if the one with sloppy lettering is a '73 E88, that's what motor it came on though. But since it's been through a cylinder head shop who knows? later E88 is the cleaner one with a shallower chamber, Difference in lettering, Edited July 26, 2015 by siteunseen
