Mark Maras Posted April 23, 2016 Share #327 Posted April 23, 2016 I'd leave the hole open. Less usable space inside for a varmint home. If you put a screen over it, they'll use it for the base of their bed and fill it up with bedding material. BTW, mothballs are an excellent critter deterrent.

If I leave it open they'd fall out. Hell they'd have to learn to rappel to get in there.

Then you can remove the cap to make sure the rotor is pointed the right direction, and the spark trigger (points opening or reluctor edge on magnetic pickup) are in the correct place. Which distributor and ignition system are you using? This is how it was when I pulled the motor. Does it look okay? I think it's at full advance but I never could wrap my head around electrical timing. It's the '79 zx with e12-80 module. @Zed Head @Captain Obvious

Captain Obvious Posted April 24, 2016 Share #336 Posted April 24, 2016 Yes, I was referencing Cheech and Chong. I think I first heard that skit when I was in my teens. It's still funny now, but just imagine how funny it is to a room full of teenage boys. "Uhhh, I think he's gonna show ya JR." 5 hours ago, black gold man said: Before tommy chong was signing going downtown to see my gail he had a Motown hit in 1967 Thanks for that BGM. I had no idea. I thought it was all comedy.
