Had a good day playing with the blast cabinet, no sand in my nose or ears. 

 

The glass beads won't touch the undercoating on the transmission mount so next it'll be coal slag.

 

 

That's on a 9 foot solid oak door that I got from a courthouse renovation we did in years ago.

Question on 2.4 pistons. They don't have the notch indicating the front but there is an F on one side. Monroe says the stamped numbers on the rod and cap that keep them matched up should be on the oil filter side. That don't jive with my notes nor the F on the pistons. Can anybody help me to determine the fronts? If I go by that F it would put the matching numbers on the flat part of the rods and caps on the manifold side and thats how I wrote it down back in the spring when I tore it down. I have to quit drinking and wrenching.

Finally got some me/Z time. 

 

It's a little sissy looking baby blue in the pictures, flash I guess, but it looks okay in my garage and then the engine bay.

 

EDIT: the crank nose pulley will be changed to a pinkish BLACK.  Looks bad painted blue looking here;

I've done something stupid again. I hadn't touched it in a month or so and just noticed. Probably okay, BUT.

I've got my bright timing chain links set on tdc exhaust stroke. I've got a week off so I'll pull the front cover and do it right.

Cliff....If you aligned the two bright links correctly to the cam sprocket mark and crank sprocket mark, you don't have to pull the front cover. Just turn the engine to TDC compression and redo the distributor shaft. You are 180 degrees out!

What Diseazd said.  All you'll need to do is get the little half-moon facing forward, on TDC compression, instead of TDC exhaust.
