I marked the mark location.  It looks fully retarded I think.  Rotation is counterclockwise and when you turn the dizzy, you're moving the pickup.  So yours shows the pickup moved away from the reluctor as it rotates, which would be delayed or retarded.

I had to google.com that, so it's a little before my time.  I don't remember any "comedy records" from my youth, we had a VCR as big as a microwave.  I did like Peter Sellers in The Pink Panther though.  I grew up in the 70s.

My new remanufactured distributor is in need of adjustment according to Blue's rebuild.  I don't have equal spacing between the reluctor and stator.  Thanks @Blue

Another day, another problem.  But I'm glad to get it right now instead of later and I need something easy to do and get off my back and feet, yesterday I was under the car all day.  Today I have knots on my forehead! and transmission fluid in my ear.   

To follow up, for mine pointing to #1 and adjustment screw centered, they equaled out at .015" on my feeler gauge.

Was it off because of a loose bushing or they just didn't set it right?  Funny how they can say "rebuilt" but leave the new parts set for self-destruction.

It came to me set wrong. I put it on and ran it for a month like that. Quality control is left up to us I suppose.

This doesn't mean much after hearing about John's passing but we have to keep trudging along in this life. Ups and downs. 

I stopped for a new set of plugs before firing it up. Now I'll wait until in the morning.
