April 24, 20168 yr comment_493431 I marked the mark location. It looks fully retarded I think. Rotation is counterclockwise and when you turn the dizzy, you're moving the pickup. So yours shows the pickup moved away from the reluctor as it rotates, which would be delayed or retarded. For me and my teenage buddies it was "Monty Python and the The Holy Grail". My Mom had a VHS tape of it. We spit our cookies and milk () out when he cut off the Black Night's arm. I don't remember any "comedy records" from my youth, we had a VCR as big as a microwave. I did like Peter Sellers in The Pink Panther though. I grew up in the 70s. April 24, 20168 yr Author comment_493457 My new remanufactured distributor is in need of adjustment according to Blue's rebuild. I don't have equal spacing between the reluctor and stator. Thanks @Blue Mine looks like this, And it should look like this, Another day, another problem. But I'm glad to get it right now instead of later and I need something easy to do and get off my back and feet, yesterday I was under the car all day. Today I have knots on my forehead! and transmission fluid in my ear. April 24, 20168 yr comment_493463 Was it off because of a loose bushing or they just didn't set it right? Funny how they can say "rebuilt" but leave the new parts set for self-destruction. April 25, 20168 yr Author comment_493574 This doesn't mean much after hearing about John's passing but we have to keep trudging along in this life. Ups and downs. I stopped for a new set of plugs before firing it up. Now I'll wait until in the morning.
