Posted February 7, 201510 yr comment_463140 I need another project like I need a.... In any case, on account of seeing a Z parked out front, I was offered another. I think it is a 73 model (all the tags are off, VIN is in the 130000 range). The owner started to restore it thirty years ago and stripped the body. All parts have been inside for the past 30 years as has the body. The body is farily clean for an East Coast car, but will need floor boards. There is also rust poking through over one of the rear wheel wells and in the back hatch when you lift the lid. He is asking under $2k for the package. I suspect this is a case of move on, but I wanted to ask the group what they thought. Thanks! February 7, 201510 yr comment_463147 As you said..........Move on. The 2K price has 30+ years of the owner's emotional ties and memories factored in.Dennis Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50911-is-this-deal-worth-pursuing/#findComment-463147 Share on other sites
February 7, 201510 yr comment_463149 i'd say nope - walk away.the bodywork will kill you, what you can see through the paint is only the beginning, and at $2k you're starting out way behind. a parts car, sure - but for a few hundred vs. a few thousand...
