February 19, 201510 yr Author comment_463924 Thanks Jim, I found a rubber thread protector (it came on a aircraft fuel line fitting) that also is the correct size.I think Safety wire will work for the linkage question, I thought that the screws on the linkage were idle adjustments, are they both adjusted by the screw on the rear carb?Could you tell me what you used to attach pictures to your post? I had no problem attaching pictures to the original post but can't find a button that links to my pictures. Thanks again, you guys have been a BIG help.Eric Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50959-hose-hook-up-1971-240/?&page=2#findComment-463924 Share on other sites

February 19, 201510 yr comment_463928 Eric, In the reply box, look for "More Reply Options" at the bottom right and click it. You'll get an expanded reply function with "Attach Files" at the bottom left. The screw on the linkage is used to balance the two carbs so they working in synch. A tool set as in the pic is used.
