February 26, 201510 yr comment_464404 Nothing more beautiful than the shape of the Datsun 240z! Well played Mr. K! I can hardly get enough of your Japanese cars! Thanks for the memories. February 26, 201510 yr comment_464425 But he is - mistakenly - being credited as a "designer": Katayama was 25 when he joined Nissan on April 1, 1935, and he and the company grew up together. Katayama worked in publicity and advertising before finally landing a position as designer. ...which is untrue. Where does this misinformation come from? Is it in fact just a misunderstanding that stems from being called "The Father Of The Z"...? I've sent a comment to Hagerty, but it hasn't been acknowledged yet. February 26, 201510 yr comment_464440 Yea, well the SPL 310 didn't have an 18 year production run either. And now that I have been sucked in with a post on this thread; how did you arrive at "Finally Recognizes" Bryan? Hagerty has been writing articles about the 240Z for several years now. March 1, 201510 yr comment_464587 It's a nice thought tho. Maybe people will just stop saying "Cool car!" and start offering checks heavy with ink.
