March 1, 201510 yr comment_464652 Im confused, didn't they dyno the engine before shipping to you? Why is it off then? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/51034-need-help-with-timing/?&page=2#findComment-464652 Share on other sites
March 1, 201510 yr comment_464653 180 degrees out yes. Better drop the oil pump and distributor driving spindle, and do it right before you fire it up. Â Put no1 piston at TDC of compression stroke first. Then install. March 1, 201510 yr Author comment_464654 He must've changed the wires while on the dyno, and never changed the oil pump. Who knows.I'm definitely going to change it, I just wanted to be sure that was the issue Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/51034-need-help-with-timing/?&page=2#findComment-464654 Share on other sites

March 1, 201510 yr comment_464656 Thats worrying that it doesn't surprise you. Sounds like you are loosing confidence is rebello's build.Seems to me he just has priority management issues which translates to dissatisfied customers, but the quality of his engines are still good.In reality it doesn't matter where number one starts. We are all use to it starting at a certain point. Zed head's point about plug leads being a bit short could be a problem. You can always flip it 180 degrees later.Chas Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/51034-need-help-with-timing/?&page=2#findComment-464656 Share on other sites

Which results in small mistakes and less communication. If this is the worse thing that happens, Im happy. The motor sounds amazing. I will try and get a video up soon. March 1, 201510 yr comment_464665 Looks great, runs great......That's all that matters. Make sure you've got good oil pressure and change the oil and filter after a couple hundred miles. Congrats! March 2, 201510 yr comment_464707 The inner gerotor gear is larger for the turbo pump, creating more volume/flow.  It's a good upgrade. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/51034-need-help-with-timing/?&page=2#findComment-464707 Share on other sites
