I need to build a motor for Memphis and don't want to do the stoker yet. I have a few blocks that could be over bored.

I recall some mention in the past about chevy pistons that work with over bores?

Anyone know of possible solutions?

Cast hypereutectic pistons are fine for this one.

I've heard Tony D mention something about VW pistons. What about 240sx pistons?

You have a torque plate for that kind of overbore?

I've seen mention of Honda XL500.

Nothing wrong with ITM pistons......I shaved .015 off and used Nissan rings. I don't like their oil spacers.

Is that 100$ per hole?

$15.00 each....

It would be ~3.5" (89mm)bore and 1.5" (38.1mm) compression height that is needed.

I think I found something:

Piston pin is ~ 1.2mm bigger in diameter so rods will need boring or existing pin sleeved.

The piston bore is 89mm.

The compression height/pin height is 38.99mm

Piston to Head clearance is ~0.32mm so it needs another .07mm off the pistons.

It should have a good squish if I can find a 1mm X 89mm gasket.

I was referring to the 500 pistons

Ring size is close to what I need. Maybe I can find some moly rings for a Chevy.

Don't know about those Steve..........I guess he wants a block to convert to a stroker later. Swap in 240Z 9mm rods, stroker crank and 240SX pistons and you're in business after Memphis. Biggest I've ever gone on the L28 is .040 over ( 1mm ). I've never built a Stroker.......I guess it should be on my "Bucket List".

I checked the XL500 pistons but they have a challenging compression height that would need odd length rods.
