grretc Posted March 25, 2015 Author Share #32 Posted March 25, 2015 Mine sat for 6 years with a half tank of fuel and here's what I found after dropping the tank. I had to walk home a few times before I figured it out. This is insane! I'll be performing a tank flush this weekend and hopefully all goes well. If not I have a fresh tank on the side waiting for it. The photo kind of makes me wonder about my other cars though...
dtshaw66 Posted March 25, 2015 Share #33 Posted March 25, 2015 Fantastic find! Man, I hope you decide to keep its stock appearance. You can see from my car I'm a sucker for that 'just drove it off the lot' look. If I had seen your car before I bought mine, I might have fought you for it! You found a winner - may you enjoy it for a long long time!

Namerow Posted April 11, 2015 Share #36 Posted April 11, 2015 Suggest that Blue's notes on derelict L24 engine start-up be posted to the 'Tech Pubs' folder. That's a very good guide and could serve a lot of club members well in the future. Re possible value of this car, as found, there's another low-mileage '72 Z on the Bring-a-Trailer auction site this week. Two-owner, dry-storage on axle stands for many years, pretty much unmolested, and in very good running order (see seller's 5-minute video). Auction closes on Wednesday. Current bid is $15,500. I think the car will bring $23,000.
