where can I get a fusebox

Hi! this is my first time here, and I can't say how great it is to have found this site!!

I just bought a '72 240z last sat. Everything seems to be in order except for the fuse box. the fuse holder slot that deals with my dashlights and rear lights keeps slipping loose. The whole box needs to be replaced, actually, and I am having the hardest time locating a new fuse box. The Nissan dealership told me I was up a creek as they didnt manufacture them anymore. I am in so.cal and all the z cars in the strip yards have been parted out as far as fuseboxes go.....

Does anyone know of how to go about locating one somewhere else in the state or country? Does ebay have things like this? I'm totally stuck and can't drive my new baby at night with out holding my finger on the fuse itself.

Any suggestions on how to keep the fuse in while I forage on my mission? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,

Nikki

I got a nice one through Troy at Too Intense Restorations, who is also an advertiser on the site.

You can also try ZBarn: http://www.zbarn.com/

And a few other places. If you can't locate one after this, get back with us for more sources. You can check the links on the menu too.

If you can get a new one from MSA for $88 I would grab it though.

Good luck!

Can you pinch the holders together to get a better bite on the fuse? Or are the holders just real sloppy? Maybe you can judiciosly use some aluminum foil to take up the slack until you get a new box.

just a couple ideas to throw out

I got the problem with fuse box 71, 240Z . One of the fuse holder was melted. This is my second time. The previous one melted in another fuse holder. I bought from the junk jard. Does someone ever try to swap fuse panel from another car? How is it?
