Posted May 16, 20159 yr comment_469908 Just bought a grab basket of speedo's, tac's and clocks and the one speedo in the center looks different that the others. It only goes up to 180 kph. The others go up to 240 kph. Could it be from a very early fairlday? May 16, 20159 yr comment_469916 The one that goes to 180kph is not from an early car but those on each side of it is. Japanese versions of the kph gauge. Not sure what version the were fitted in.I would be interested in your rally clock if you might be selling it? The one with 2 knobbs.RegardsAndreas Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/51505-what-speedometer-did-i-buy/#findComment-469916 Share on other sites
May 16, 20159 yr Author comment_469931 perhaps its from a 2+2 fairlady model. Anyone out there have a 2+2 fairlady? Some of their speedo's go up to 260 kph. Two of these are 240 kph. That rally clock isn't good without the oscillator. I'm hoping I got the oscillator in another batch of fairlady parts from the same guy. He had a bad photo of tons of parts but i expanded the photo and i think i saw the oscillator. The guy parting the 2 fairladys doesn't know anything about the cars. Its really a shame becuase the sheetmetal from the cars shows little rust. One was a zg model. I'm finding there are quite a few small variations in jdm parts over the years. Just like our series 1 and 2. Use what you got and build em fast frankensteins. its going to be a while before i can clean this stuff up and sell it. 6 months or more. This am radio is a strange variation. Its not signal seek like series 1 and the antenna switch is blocked off.
