Posted March 17, 200322 yr comment_30105 I drive my Z around and get it up to operating temp. I stop and turn the car off and return 10 minutes later. When I start the Z the engine temp is up to 250 and it just sounds horrible. I have a clue what it might be. Everything calms down when the car cools back down to operating temp. Please help. Send your suggetstions. Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5160-77-280-z-staying-hot/ Share on other sites
March 17, 200322 yr comment_30125 that where the problem is more the obvious to be. first thing to check would be your radiator while the car is running to see if your water pump is working and your getting flow. then check the thermostat, make sure your fan is working, while your at it and it doesnt hurt do a flush and fill after you have verified all parts are good and in working order.
