So my 280Z has the black fiberglass bumpers on her now but I've been contemplating getting some chrome bumpers but cant decide. What do you guys think?

Tough call. It certainly looks good as it is. I guess it all depends on if you like shine on white or black on white. The more I look at your Z, the more I like black bumpers.

Hard to find good chrome bumpers and they are expensive. Black looks good but look better if all the trim was blacked out too-imho

If you keep the solid black wheels, I'd keep the black bumpers too.  I like the chrome from futofab.com on mine but I've got polished lipped Konig Rewinds that go good with them.

 

Tough choice, but you've made some damn good decisions so far. 

 

 

i did exactly the opposite with my 78 and have been replacing all the black plastic with chrome for more of a 60's look. you have the brightwork around the windows, the mirrors and the wipers to pull it all together, so you really can go either way.

You don't see much chrome anymore on cars, which is why I'd pick chrome.

 

And I've always admired wire spoke wheels like rossiz has, but I also recognize they're a PITA to care for!
