siteunseen Posted June 26, 2015 Share #2 Posted June 26, 2015 That's funny you asked, we just talked about the carpet changes. Post #10, http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/51630-z-car-source-carpet-and-seat-kits/ 195/70-14" is what mine had.
Mark Maras Posted June 26, 2015 Share #3 Posted June 26, 2015 My 71 had 175/70 14". The speedo was very accurate with that tire size. It was 2 years old and had Bridgestone tires on it when I bought it. I think they were the original tires.
AZ-240z Posted June 26, 2015 Share #4 Posted June 26, 2015 The original tire size was 175 HR/14. The contemporary tire that is the same size is 195/70 x 14.
black gold man Posted June 26, 2015 Share #5 Posted June 26, 2015 (edited) I have a set of Bridgestone recot tires that came new on a 79zx they still ride good and rubber is still soft. I was driving a 83 rx7 a few years on org Bridgestone recot also felt good till I was caught in the rain very slippery. I used the carpet paint on carpet fade works good. jlenownnab Posted June 26, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted June 26, 2015 Thanks for replies, it seems like the loop is more popular. Im hoping the 14" tires arent to to bad of a ride. I reallly was thinking i want to use original hub caps. Kind of going for stock look on this one.
