I recently bought a rolling shell that I will fix up and get back on the road. Very new to the s30 game this is my first one. I was wondering what year it is from because I've noticed some places online say that there is differences in the 75-76 and the 77-78 when it comes to parts. I figured it out guys thank you

There should be a plate on the driver's side door jamb that has a date stamped, like 1/76.  That's a clue, plus each year has some small differences.  If you post a picture, it could probably be figured out. Or look at pictures of 280Z's on Google or on this site.

It doesn't have the stamp on it that was the first place I looked This car is basically gutted pretty good. I heard there was a z registry but it looks like all the ones I have found were for the 240z.

Did you get a title? If not how are you gonna get it back on the road? Also there is a VIN number right above the brake booster. You aught to be able to get pretty close to month of manufacture with that.

Got a bonded title for it for now I got it from a junkyard the guy said that a older lady sold it to the place for scrap metal pricing it was her husbands project but he never got past the priming it for painting.
