IGNORED

engine block, datsun blue/turquoise

Recommended Posts

Since I am rebuilding my engine, I needed to find a color as close to original as possible.

I found some Dupont codes, but somehow they couldn't convert that here or where not using it anymore..

A friend who lives nearby, who's also on the forum here, had a bracket laying around that still contained some of the original color..

I had it matched up at a paint shop into cans, what do you guys think of it?

In the flash picture, you can see the blue more, but in normal daylight it's like the blue/turquoise..

That's real close to what my Dupicolor Old Ford Blue came out like.  The cap matched a lot better than the actual paint, it had some green in it (the cap) but when I painted the block it came out bluer.  I call it Bud Lite Blue.  Also thought about respraying with Pontiac Blue like Jarvo used.

It's amazing how different your paint looks in the different pictures, lighting.
