Sell, store, or toss -- what to do with old parts?

Curious what some of you guys do with the parts you pull off your car.  I've got things like sway bars, bumpers, springs, etc. that I've removed from the car and don't imagine I'll be putting them back on.

I could store them somewhere, but we're moving in a month or two, so I'm in a purging kind of mood.  Tossing it all in the dumpster feels kinda...wrong, though.  Based on the posts I've seen languish on Craigslist, I don't imagine that stuff has much value, so trying to sell them (or even give them away) may be more trouble than it's worth.

Post it up! There is always someone looking for something and the pay it forward idea is awesome. I have been the donor and recipient of parts for my 370Z and 280Z and it always feels good to help a fellow enthusiast out!

There is a "pay it forward" thread on here that allows folks to post up what they have to get rid of - usually for the cost of shipping.

One man's trash is another's treasure...

That's great; much better than throwing stuff away. Do you have a link? I looked and searched but didn't find anything.

Yes keep old parts or try to sell them, or hand them in for cores. Although many aftermarket parts are available for our Z's, certain parts are becoming or are already impossible to find. I found a place that will rebuild my original horns but at a high cost of 280 per pair. I made the mistake of getting rid of some sheet metal on my car and I recently landed an apprentice ship at a hot rod shop learning how to fix rust and do body work. Go figure. I saved the original hatch from my car though, and plan to repair it and keep it as a spare. BTW I have a lot of 240 z parts that I am willing to sell. Shoot me an e-mail or a PM if your looking for something.
