timsz Posted July 24, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 24, 2015 I can't remember what this is for. Can't find it anywhere, books, etc. Don't have time to look real hard. Thanks. It's a toggle and has an on, off sign.
psdenno Posted July 24, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 24, 2015 Doesn't look exactly like any of the switches on my '71. Do you have your Hazard switch? Possible replacement for antenna switch?Dennis
zKars Posted July 24, 2015 Share #3 Posted July 24, 2015 Ain't not never seen that thing on any Datsun I know. Most likely someones way to turn on fog lights, rad fan, the ignition, who knows..
SteveJ Posted July 24, 2015 Share #4 Posted July 24, 2015 Are those burn marks or just dirt on the white wire?
DatsunZGuy Posted July 24, 2015 Share #5 Posted July 24, 2015 I'm with psdenno...most likely a replacement antenna switch used for a period radio/cassette tape deck. Unless you have have mounting brackets on the fenders for machine guns
jfa.series1 Posted July 24, 2015 Share #6 Posted July 24, 2015 +1 on an alternative antenna switch possibility. The female connector is likely the power into the switch, the other two will be power out to the up and down sides of the motor. However - an antenna switch has 3 positions: neutral/up/down. If this switch has only 2 positions, all bets are off.
timsz Posted July 29, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted July 29, 2015 It's just dirty. I thought I had seen them before ( the switch), in pics, etc. The wire protectors are the same as the other ones on the car.
