SteveJ Posted July 31, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2015 (edited) I like how the poster flipped the photo in a couple of the ads and resized the photo, too. The area code for the number posted in several of the ads is for the northern part of Kansas. Edited July 31, 2015 by SteveJ
DatsunZGuy Posted July 31, 2015 Share #3 Posted July 31, 2015 I'm pretty sure a Western Union wire transfer to the Bank of Nigeria is part of the sale.

Hodgimus-maximus Posted August 1, 2015 Share #5 Posted August 1, 2015 Do any of you wonder what happened to the days when scammers used to put real effort into their scams so you could at least appreciate the amount of effort they put in to relieve you of your moneySent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Gav240z Posted August 1, 2015 Share #6 Posted August 1, 2015 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Z-Series-Coupe-2-door-/141730477569 Same as this car.

Gav240z Posted August 2, 2015 Share #8 Posted August 2, 2015 But, it does have the original "saddle" in original condition.Dennis I saw that also, very good selling point. Usually the saddle is worn on most 240z's.
Captain Obvious Posted August 2, 2015 Share #9 Posted August 2, 2015 That car ad showed up in my area as well. I bet the guy at the other end of that phone number isn't very happy right about now...
jfa.series1 Posted August 2, 2015 Share #10 Posted August 2, 2015 Regarding the presumed-legit eBay car... perhaps it just me but there is something fundamentally wrong with a white interior in a Safari Gold car. The black engine bay is a usual giveaway for a color change and I certainly admire Safari Gold (no guesses why) but the combo just doesn't work for me. Oh well, opinions are like belly-buttons - everybody has one.
CDL1542 Posted August 2, 2015 Share #11 Posted August 2, 2015 There's about 10-12 ads of the same car in my area as well... if it seems too good to be true, it probably is
Zed Head Posted August 2, 2015 Share #12 Posted August 2, 2015 Somebody posted about it on Hybridz also but they moved it to their Tool Shed for some reason. Had some more details. Looks like the old "wire me the money and I'll have the car shipped scam". I felt the draw of one of those way back when I was first looking. Low price, need to sell", in the military (lends respectability), can't communicate directly, etc. All of the signs. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/123073-scammers-on-z-cara-now/#entry1150782
