Nothing beats the real thing.  This is an impressive piece of work in Chicago.  I've been there and stood underneath it, very cool !  Highly recommended visit if you ever make it out there.

Not sure what to say about the one in China...

Calling me a racist is uncalled for,

Go back and check. I haven't called you a racist.

You've just got a real hard-on for "the Chinese", haven't you? It's something you've displayed on this forum many times in the past and it makes you (despite your Ruskin quote sig.) look like a fool.

What's your Z a "copy" of? Can you "see the quality..."?

Well, this went from interesting to ugly in just a few posts. I don't see it as an insult to the Chinese culture. But, rather, an observation on an interesting attitude held by the Chinese. Hell, I still have a complete set of bootleg World Book encyclopedias I bought for $20 in Taiwan 45 years ago when they were copying everything in print or on records with no regard to copyright laws. Taiwan is no longer considered to be the "real" China, but the mainland has carried on the tradition with fake Rolex watches, a fake Disneyland, fake iPhones, and knock offs of just about every designer. So why not a sculpture in the style of the Bean? No one was hurt, no one seems to be embarrassed, and no one should get their knickers in a knot discussing it.

With regard to its pertinence to this forum, it speaks more of an "interesting attitude" for a Moderator to put forward so often.

He's even got it in his sig, along with an advertisement for his business.

Either he's being deliberately provocative, or he's just gauche. Maybe its both, actually?

In any case, I think classiczcars.com ought to be better than that.
