September 1, 20159 yr comment_476820 At the machine shop I previously worked for, we used Precision Twist Drill (PTD) and Dormer among others. Try checking the sales flyer at KBC tools for deals. Be aware that we found the KBC house brand drills were quite low quality, you get what you pay for. http://www.kbctools.ca/products/CUTTING%20TOOLS/DRILLS/JOBBERS%20DRILLS/JOBBERS%20DRILL%20SETS.aspx HTH Mike Edited September 1, 20159 yr by CanTechZ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/52267-made-in-usa-drill-bits/#findComment-476820 Share on other sites
September 1, 20159 yr comment_476823 My Dad said "Drill Hog" was a good set of bits for him, American made too. He has a sharpener but has never had to sharpen those. Couldn't remember where he bought them though. Here's some at amazon.com, http://www.amazon.com/Drill-Hog-Molybdenum-Lifetime-Warranty/dp/B00W303I1I Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/52267-made-in-usa-drill-bits/#findComment-476823 Share on other sites

September 4, 20159 yr comment_476966 My drill bit strategy is the opposite. I buy cheap jobber drill bits and throw them away when they get dull. I'm careful to always use cutting oil, make sure the bit is making chips, and not spin them too fast. I can get 30 to 40 holes in mild steel before they dull.
