Patcon Posted September 12, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 12, 2015 I am trying to find my thread subscriptions so I can look at some older threads that had good info in them. On my personal profile, I assume my subscribed threads are under "content I follow" but when I go there, there are almost no subscribed threads. Did I lose all my subscriptions when the website moved over to the new format? That would really suck as I had 30-40 really cool threads I had saved over the years... siteunseen Posted September 12, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 12, 2015 Try google.com. I found some stuff from 2011, I stopped on the 18th page! You have a lot of info out there. classiczcars.com patcon https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1BOFA_enUS494US494&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=classiczcars.com+patcon&start=130&filter=
Patcon Posted September 12, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted September 12, 2015 The problem is I'm getting old and can't even remember what I had subscribed to. Bushing threads, motor threads, I can't even remember them all of them...
Mike Posted September 30, 2015 Share #4 Posted September 30, 2015 Hey Charles, Ok I understand your question now, sorry it took me awhile to figure out what you meant. Unfortunately subscriptions were not able to transfer when the site was migrated to the new format. This was unfortunate, but, the migration was necessary because our old forum software was being discontinued. Anyway, I am still preserving the old site. You can find it at http://legacy.classiczcars.com . Your login should still work as it did before the migration. If you are looking to find the old subscriptions, I suggest going to the old site and copying the URL for each of your subscriptions. You can then replace "legacy" with "www" (in the URL itself) and it should redirect the link to this site. You can then re-subscribe to the post here. Here's a bit more detail about how to do this: Old URL: http://legacy.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53091(copy this URL) New URL: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53091(past this into a new browser, and replace "legacy" with "www") Auto-Redirected to: will automatically do this)Once you find these links you can open the post and click on the button on the top right "Follow this Topic" and you'll be good to go. Patcon Posted September 30, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted September 30, 2015 The easiest way I have found to do this is "right click" on the legacy subscription link and select "open in a new tab". When it loads put the cursor in the url line. Edit the legacy out with "www". Hit enter, it will reload in the new software and you can click "follow" and select frequency then enter. Only 277 more...
