September 20, 20159 yr comment_477804 Sounds like the flux capacitor to me, you need to go back to last week.Naw, I'm kidding. You'll have to give a lot more hints to the problem. I'd start by looking at the spark plugs. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/52409-need-info-on-1974-260z/#findComment-477804 Share on other sites

September 21, 20159 yr comment_477818 ignition is stock as far as i can tell Look under the distributor cap and describe what's there.  We can't tell what " as far as I can tell" means.  will not crank back up not sure what would make it do thatHow long is "will not crank back up"?  Seems tedious but the words are all we have.  Make them count. September 21, 20159 yr comment_477824 I won't be surprised if it's not a fuel delivery issue. I'll see if I can visit the car in person (in auto?) and verify. September 21, 20159 yr comment_477829 You can bypass the gas tank with a gas can. Â Run a hose from the gas can to the "IN" nipple of the pump, then run a smaller hose from the fuel rail's return line into the gas can. Â A 2.5 gallon plastic can fits perfect in between the radiator and grill on my 240. Â Or when it won't restart, pull the supply hose off and blow into it until you hear gurgling from the tank. Â I'll show you what was causing mine to quit after a few minutes then restart after all the crud settled. Â Not rust, it wouldn't stick to a magnet, just crud that would crumble like dirt in my fingers.
