I have always wanted a 240z & have on occasion, come close to finding one in the past.  Now, I seem to have the storage & shop space to work on one ...

Through an incredible & generous deal with Zup, a silver 71 240z is now part of my life.

Moving it to its new home, I thought I might borrow one of these rigs...

But ended up using a flatbed tow truck.

Silver Z now safely in its new home.  Its a pretty solid car, was sitting for a while, will need floor pans & rear wheel arches, etc.  The battery area & rear deck sill are in great shape.

Have not had time yet to really go over the car in detail but will soon & I am excited to start working on it.  Just need to finish the interior refresh on my 280z first.

My intent is to make it a worthy older brother to Zup's immaculate silver 73.

Thanks again Jim, you're the best!

I wonder if I will run out of space in that big storage building.... oh look, there's another one near it  LOL

Hey James - congrats on your new project!  I'll bet you're going to have a tough time keeping Zup away from this one.  Great looking car, you're going to have some real fun with it.  We'll all be looking forward to your progress posts.

Have you made contact yet with my buddy Scott who recently moved to Springdale?  Jim D. has already made contact and I told him you were also in the area.  He's a pretty intense S30 guy and has an interesting stable of cars.

That is a dream shop, space enough to lay out all the parts as they come off the car.

Your Z looks like it has lots of potential too, looking forward to this thread.

Cheers

Thanks you guys!    Yes, it's very nice to have the space plus a concrete floor & the walls are insulated.  Sliding door front & rear.

It's about 2 1/2 miles from my house & 200 yards from where I work.  (close proximity to unlimited refreshments in case Cliff drops by)

My orange 280 will be stored there to keep the silver car company thru the winter.  As well as Zup's 300zxtt.

Jim A. -  I have not met Scott yet, Zup & I are working on that though.  Looking forward to it.
