Zup Posted September 28, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 28, 2015 Hi All: Attached is Zilver's score sheet from ZCON 2015 held in Memphis this summer.Don't know if this is "par for the course" judging at an international event, but here it is. Sparse on ways to improve. Short nice comments, but there is a feeling the judging was superficial at best-----maybe it was just too dogamn hot to spend time writing. Veh 1244.pdf No sour grapes here---to spend those days with my Z brothers was, and always will be, precious and unforgettable! siteunseen Posted September 28, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 28, 2015 That'd be a great job for me! Very little actual work, just pointing out flaws and drawing smiley faces. I'm guessing they didn't get paid though? Illegible handwriting, -1 Sweat droplets on form, -1 Total score, 98. Nice! Thanks for sharing.
SteveJ Posted September 28, 2015 Share #3 Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) Posted on the wrong thread... All I can say is... What do you expect with a bunch of volunteer judges? Edited September 28, 2015 by SteveJ
djwarner Posted September 28, 2015 Share #4 Posted September 28, 2015 When you are that close to perfection, there is much more to say. While in the Military Airlift Command, they started a cargo airdrop competition. The first year we got dinged for surface rust on the exterior rivets on our C-141A. The second year we got dinged for having paint on the rivets because the judges couldn't determine if there was surface rust underneath.
jfa.series1 Posted September 28, 2015 Share #5 Posted September 28, 2015 I love the comment "Not as aggressive in mods from stock as car # 1233" - me. - I had 3 underhood mods: air pump and related controls gone, header and exhaust, air horns. Go figure. Agree with the comments on Z Brothers - what a fantastic group to be with. Jim
S30Driver Posted September 28, 2015 Share #6 Posted September 28, 2015 Very nice score Mr Zup! Not much to improve on except bugs & dirt ... I know you drove there with new floor mats over brand new carpet & removed them for the show. (mats stored in my car during judging)Also "can dirt on the exhaust" - maybe that's canadian dirt. (no offence to the Canadian members, I always thought their dirt was fine) +1 on hanging with the Z Brothers
TomoHawk Posted September 28, 2015 Share #7 Posted September 28, 2015 They should take into consideration where you are from, or how far you drove to the event. there's no way you could drive over 100 miles and not collect bugs or probably paint chips.
