May 20, 20204 yr comment_599810 Old tread but still of interest! I’m running 225/50-15 on panasport and they do rub in the back, sometimes in the front. Love the stance but will maybe try 205/50-15... will they make it an harder ride or? May 20, 20204 yr comment_599813 Hi Zcarfever, Just replaced the tires on my 240Z. Received a ton of advice on the site. Landed on 205 60 15. The 60's fill the fender well nicely. You lose a little patch width with the 60's, no rubbing issues front or back. Pic attached. May 20, 20204 yr comment_599814 IMG_1317.MOV @Blitzed hello! tks for the reply, 205/60 were on my list. Looks very good on your Z so I guess that is where I will start! as you can see, there is just a little too much... June 19, 20204 yr comment_601465 I have 1973 240z with Riken 16X7 and zero offset mounted with Bridgestone 225/50R16. The Z is lower with Nissan adjustable racing coil over suspension with no problem rubbing. I did go with 205/60 and I’m used to the look now, not as wide but still some meat on them and the ride comfort greatly improved. I'm looking for 15" wheels for my '71...mind mentioning what you have on there? June 8, 20213 yr comment_623007 Sorry for the late reply. I have been working on a house renovation that has me loaded with a long "HoneyDo" list. My wheels are Konig 16" by 7" wheels paired with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires. The size of the tire is 205 55R16 91V. They work fine with no interference with car frame or body. I chose that size so that the circumference of the tire would match the Datsun OEM tire circumference. This allows the speedometer to give accurate speed (MPH) readings and accurate mileage gauge readings.. While everything you said is theoretically correct, I had to chuckle at the thought of an accurate Z speedometer. Most are wildly optimistic even with the correct tire OD. My odometer is incredibly accurate, yet my speedometer is about 10% off.
