You can still get the Nissan bushings.  At least you could a little while ago.  I have a set of the pin bushings, waiting... -

Same 3/5 noise, but not solved with bushing replacement. Hmmmm. Apparently you need a T shifter too!

How about the bushings in the rear trans mount? Did you install the poly ones from the Energy suspension kit? Back to stock rubber!

Rear trans mount bushings are urethane. I should mention I HAVE NOT always had this issue. I replaced the bushings in the shifter because I thought that was causing my noise. Well it didn't solve it. Didn't even change it. Here's what I just remembered, If I drive it everyday it eventually goes away (takes a few weeks). But if it sits for less than a week it comes back. Go figure. I haven't had time to trouble shoot it either.

I can't comment on the transmission noise issue, however followed this modification from atlanticz after my plastic bushings got destroyed after a mechanic took it for a test drive during my out of province inspection.

Me too!  Worked great, or working great. 

T-handle looks great, but somehow the thought of grabbing ahold of two pounds of sub-zero stainless steel on a frigid Canadian winter morning just doesn't do it for me. Sounds too much like a tongue on the flagpole.  To each his own though.

I'm not entirely sure I'd be driving it while sub zero (would love to, learned all my winter driving skills in a 510 and Z's in the 70's ;0 ), though I'd have to have a matching knob wrap, to match the fuzzy steering wheel cover I'd also have to be using!
