I browse the forum daily, and I have disabled Ad Block Plus so I DO SEE the ads like the Ztherapy SU Carb Central one that I am looking at right now as I type this.
Yet, every time I go away and come back to the board I am greeted with this 30 second message:

Ad Notice
You Are Using Ad Block Plus or some other advert blocking software!
Our site relies on advertising for revenue!.
Please add our website to your ad blocking whitelist or disable ad blocking when you visit our website.

This has become extremely annoying now, as it's been happening for a week.
I have disabled Ad Block Plus for this website already, and I do not have the intention of uninstalling the extension just for CZC, since it's obviously a bug.

Is there any way of fixing this?

Hey guys, thanks for letting me know about your issues with the warning message.  The internet as-a-whole is going through a lot of changes recently and club owners like me are running into some challenges.  Our site's main support model, display advertising, has decreased 60% over the last year and I'm seeking ways to keep this site online without going to a full paid-membership model (or selling out).  The recent addition of the ad blocker warning was one of my experiments in trying to remedy this problem.

Anyway, while I think it's less annoying to see ads, I am going to reduce the wait-time on the warning message from 30 seconds to just a few seconds.  If you see the message, please consider becoming a supporting member.  I think the club is worth it, don't you?

Hi Careless, there are several ways to get rid of the message.

  1. Disable or uninstall ad blocker
  2. Add our site to your allowed (white) list
  3. Become a supporting member

From reading your message more closely, it looks like you have added our site to your white list already and the warning is still showing up?  I'll send you a PM and try to fix it.

You are right about that, it's part of my daily routine.

You caught me at a bad time though, I got it.  :P

Hi Mike,

To respond to your list of things..

1 & 2 have already been done.

To be a bit more clear, I have a background in Web Development and Graphic Design. I've been doing it for over a decade, so I can assure you, aside from using Firebug to locate the code injection that's causing the issue- I have done all a user can do to prevent it from coming up within the confines of normal browser or plugin options.

As for #3. I fully intend to become a supporting member in the near future. I just looked at the membership page, though... What's with all the options levels. Are certain contribution levels required for vendors or something like that?
