March 22, 200322 yr Author comment_30908 The one in front of the seat support goes through the metal. It's about 2 inches in diameter. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5262-started-my-preservation-project/#findComment-30908 Share on other sites

March 23, 200322 yr comment_31015 Just saw your pics, and all things considered you got a pretty solid car to work with. I wish my 70 was that solid. Good luck onh your project, keep the pics coming.:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5262-started-my-preservation-project/#findComment-31015 Share on other sites
March 23, 200322 yr comment_31050 Ed - perhaps you could simply upload pictures to your gallery instead of attaching them to messages. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5262-started-my-preservation-project/#findComment-31050 Share on other sites

March 28, 200322 yr comment_31763 :classic: I saw the pictures and saw a little discolored stuff. Real rust has holes and nasty stuff. Just kidding , looks like you are dealing with surface stuff and that is great and I am happy for you. I am heving to replace the floor on the pass. side and repair the driver side , Plus a little work on the battery tray. I decided to pull the tray because it had rust under it and am glad I did , I can see why this is an area of trouble. I used a tool to remove spot welds and ended up with 6 3/8" holes in the inner fender. Not good . Since I have to have welding done that will be fixed at the same time . I am glad for y ou that the white stuff is going away. March 29, 200322 yr comment_31853 Give me your workshop. Now. I'm very jealous :classic: Seriously though it should be a fairly easy resto, I've got more rust in my rear quarter than you do in the entire car! As Metalman said, "Keep the pictures coming" it's always interesting to see what others have to contend withRoss.
