Panel Alignment

I just found this TSB regarding the cowl top panel support issue, it was implemented in Mar. '71.

 

 

 

The complete 1969 to 1972 TSB document can be found in our downloads section. Strangely it's in the manuals folder, not the service bulletin folder.

The issue with doing it that way is that you lose the dimples created when the panel was spot welded. Another option is to weld metal to the edge of the hood.

I know the dimples are a factory look but I do like the very clean crisp ways these rod shops detail cars. That is a cool tip. I didn't recognize the product he used first as a hard substrate, you need that otherwise the built up areas are easily damaged. He's not afraid to use filler either...
