I was ordering some bearings for R200 diff from the 1983 280zx page and by mistake or stupidity, I ordered 4 shock bumpers thinking that I would get the bumpers that mount on the shock shaft. Well what I got was 4 of those spring insulators that you have. More stuff for the Z swap meet.

fed ex made my day. also brought new struts, rubber brake lines, fuel line and a rear brake proportioning valve. i was kind of surprised at the springs. the picture on ebay showed them as red. would have matched the paint. no biggie. so now all the brake lines to each corner are done, and i plan on painting all the rear suspension today. should have the rear end back in tomorrow. then comes the front end.

I ran an epoxy primer on my parts but it is blueish-grey so I top coated with a single stage black but flattening it was a challenge. the epoxy aught to hold up well and it has a pretty decent sheen to it

i found out today that local powder coating shops will sell the powder. they filled (to the top) 2 of the plastic bottles for $8 :D eastwood charges $10 for half a bottle plus shipping. the shop i stopped at had a whole room full of 50# boxes of powder. call around before ordering more
