Same over here in the Tampa Bay area and we can get 93 to 95 octane for around $2.10

87 octane is $2.08 at the cheepest station here in Portland and I just bought some accross the river in Washington for $1.98

1.88 here.

$2.27 here in Las Vegas today at the Chevron. At the Arco station (typically less expensive) gas is usually 5 to 7 cents cheaper. And this is for 87 octane.

You guys have it good. Here you'd pay about double that, and in the UK you would pay over that for a LITRE.

Just drove by the SAME station as last night. It's now $2.48.9 for 87 octane, and $2.72.9 for 91 octane. :mad:

we are aren't. Just comparing differences around the LARGE country.

....and the reason for that price difference (between USA and OZ / UK) would be largely in TAXES. The prices are rising for very different reasons (at this time) in the USA.

I was simply giving a comparison for some who might be interested to see what the rest of the world is doing (not just THE country, seeing as this is in "Open Discussions", not "Regional Discussions"!).. but I am interested in what you say there - why are petrol prices rising in the USA moreso than other western countries (if this is what you are insinuating)?
