Bringing back the RedZ

Longer?

Not saying that it happened, but just to be sure. It could be differences in MC's, but it could also be the reaction disc.

Check your reaction disc hasn't droped into the booster. Its a rubber cushion on the end of the push rod. Originally glued in place, but over the years it comes loose and fall off when we change MC's.

People adjust the rod and wonder why it needed adjustment until they go for a test drive. First time you touch the brakes, brace yourself. Otherwise you could headbutt the steering wheel. Without the reaction disc, they are very touchy.

So, been learning more about distributor choices. Can you guys speak to the timing curve differences between 240/280/280zx distributors and how they might affect which I select?  Can any of them be modified via springs or other methods like other distributors?

Furthermore, the major question mark with the ZX dizzys is the condition of the module, and with replacements being expensive and hard to find. What are the options for other modules if an E12-80 is not a possibility? What are the drawbacks/strengths of these other options vs the E12-80 that people always seem to be talking about?

It's pretty incredible what you can learn in a short amount of time. I knew practically nothing about setting timing and advance curves last night, and while I still no next to nothing today, it's still miles ahead of where I was. The power of the internet and the contributions of communities members. :)
